The unique colouring, sweet scent and nearly continual production of its attractive blooms, along with its compact, bushy habit, have made this a favourite floribunda among rose growers. Each of its delightful, mauve-lavender flowers contains 25–30 ruffled petals, some of which may be rimmed in dark red at the tips and all of which orbit a centre filled with golden stamens. The double, 3½" blooms grow in clusters and release an intoxicating citrus scent that can perfume a garden or, as cut flowers, a good-size room. This multiple-award winner is quite floriferous once established and is enough to be used as a focal point in the landscape.
