In mid spring, this mukdenia bears lovely, white, half-inch blooms on branched panicles that attract pollinators, but the real attraction is its foliage. The leaves are green in spring, but soon red highlights appear. By fall, the leaves turn entirely red. Crimson Fans can be used as a colourful, deer-resistant ground cover in semi-shaded spots beneath trees, between shrubs and in rockeries. Also looks great in a container garden.
