Watermelon Oriental Poppy

Oozing with brilliant colour, poppies are the VIPs of flower borders. And this may well well be the most dazzling of them all! Mouthwateringly gorgeous, this poppy is aptly named for its watermelon-pink colour. Satiny, crepelike petals open to 6" across, and a large, velvety black seed capsule lies in the centre, surrounded by prominent dark purple stamens. Hummingbirds love it, and you will, too! Perfect in back borders and cutting gardens, it will also make a beautiful addition to summer bouquets.
