Take a walk on the wild side with this unusually coloured, oddly shaped and wildly exotic relative of stylish calla lilies. In early summer, Voodoo Lily produces a tubular, yellowish spathe densely flecked with maroon that surrounds a darker maroon spadix. The new bloom briefly emits an unpleasant aroma before the scent dissipates, leaving it to be enjoyed for weeks. After the flower fades, large leaves remain near the base to provide visual interest until frost.
