Yellow Trillium

This Southeast native is beloved for its elegant simplicity and pretty blooms. The faintly lemon-scented, 2" flowers appear atop three-leaf whorls that are often dappled. Foliage tends to die back by midsummer, particularly in dry soil. Thrives in moist woodland gardens or deeply shaded areas. Delightful among ferns and bleeding heart.
